Continuing to explore this medium, adding bright colors to break through the mosaic pattern and play a part in the composition.

Meet Alex, the reigning champion of whimsy in the kingdom of thought. Our state of mind is like a chaotic sitcom, where the characters are our thoughts, and the plot twists are as unpredictable as a cat on a caffeine binge. It’s a rollercoaster ride through the amusement park of emotions, with joyous highs that make us feel like mental acrobats and lows that have us questioning if our brain cells are on a lunch break. The inner dialogue is a stand-up comedy routine that only we seem to find hilarious, complete with witty comebacks and dad jokes that even dads would cringe at. In this slapstick comedy of consciousness, our minds play the lead role in a production that’s part Shakespearean tragedy, part Saturday morning cartoon – a laughably lovable mess of neurons and neurotransmitters.

Mark English is an absolute master of composition and lighting. His later work is sublime. He had a way to make you think you know what you are looking at but then you realize you have no idea forcing you to reevaluate your relationship to the work. Brilliant. Bernie Fuchs is a master of surface illusion and balancing things that are the most alluring with the grotesque. Fred Otnes is brilliant in his ability to edit the information in his images with the objects/subjects that he places in his compositions. He is a master at making you feel like you are getting something when upon closer inspection you realize you aren’t able to grasp what is there.
